but then I came across PIE! Apple, Pumpkin and Sweet Potato, across the street from the West Side Greenway at the Fairway! Free samples! It got me the rest of the way home. A good ride too, 50 miles on a beautiful day.

50 miles + beautiful weather + pie = one happy cyclist
Perhaps you were pushing to much, doesn't matter now, you ended on a high note.
Good for you!!

You ate all three in one go? I can't really tell much difference in taste between pumpkin and sweet potato pie. I must have defective taste buds.

Can tell the difference between apple and the other two----Apple has taste.
Hope you realise that 3 slices of pie at 15 miles per slice and you have over milaged for the Pie consumed. Still- that is not much of a sin but better keep the pie up and milage down on the next Pie ride.
That is only correct if the pie was normal sized. Large portions work differently.

Wow. All you needed was the Swedish bikini team riding along with you.

That's good! If you had been in front, you'd have had an accident from concentrating on your rear-view mirror to the exclusion of what was in front of you.

I detest riding when it is cold. I only like riding in a t-shirt and shorts. So-----------here in Nebr I have been off the bike for at least a couple of weeks. Yesterday it was in the mid 60s so I went for a ride. I expected to feel a loss of strength already, but amazingly I felt really strong on the small hills here in town. I dont really understand that.
