price estimates
I am planning on upgrading some of my LX parts to XT and would like to sell them (ebay etc.). I will be selling (all LX) a crankset, cassette, front and rear derailleurs, and rapid fire shifters. How much is all of this worth, used? The cassette is slightly worn, but is not bad, the crankset has a few mangled teeth, but works flawlessly, and the other parts are in good condition.
Thanks.
Thanks.

crankset £65.00
cassette £30.00
front d £22.00
rear d £35.00
shifters £45.00
total £197
second hand stuff rougly should be at the max, about half price, depends really how old it is and some people will pay more than others. but if you have a high reserve price initially and it doesnt sell, just try lowering the reserve price slightly and continue until you manage to sell. I reckon proably £100 for the lot, at a guess, but as i saidit will depend from person to person and how much they know/ are willing to pay

So, figure on asking for 1/2 of what it costs new, and then be happy if someone offers you 2/3 of your asking price!

Personally I'd be unlikely to buy a worn cassette or crankset with mangled teeth, but on ebay who knows?
