Good detective work tuz. It will be interesting to see what it goes for. 1 Pound Sterling(GBP) = $1.55 dollars (at today's exchange rate). With 15hrs. left its at $127, one of you experienced guys should go for it, seems like a good deal at this point. Can anyone tell if the lugs are pressed or cast? Funny how the rear drops have two eyelets and the front none.

the rear seat lug seems obviously pressed, but it doesn't appear to match the rest of the lugs.

Owned 2 custom built Reynolds double butted 531 tandems.
#1 built in 1976 by Matt Assenmacher (of Michigan) utilizing single bike racing tubing and ovalized boob tube.
Extreme short wheelbase (60 and 1/4 inches) for short pilot and shorter (under 5' stoker). Had to deflate rear tire to remove wheel, toeclip overlap and a curved rear seattube. Fully lugged/silverbrazed.
Weighed in at a then incredible 34 lbs! Put 64,000 miles on that bike before selling it.
Light/fast/extemely manoeverable/incredible ride.
#2 built in early 1980 by Colin Laing; again 531 db racing tubing but with tandem guage downtube and oval boobtube.
Stretched the wheelbase to 63.5 inches. Handmade and chromed lugs with the builder's initials in the headtube lug.
A rolling work of art. Put 57,000 miles on that great bike.
Reynolds tubing has always been top-of-the-line!
Hope someone will build another great tandem with it!

I'm curious if the the lugs matched the tubes, or if the tubeset had one of the ovalized boom tubes
