I was not aware of it. Looked it up. Sold out.

https://wildflowercentury2013.eventbrite.com/#

And they show it as the 27th, not the 26th. Would stink to show up a day early!

I'm riding the 100 miler. They changed the 100 mile route last year, it use to be almost 108 miles before. Yes, it sold out in ~6 hours and I have friends trying to get a slot (I told them to sign up day of).

Gary if you are up for it, do the 75... much more scenic and interesting. Although a warning: there is one very steep hill although it is not long...

My favorite century... enjoy! Make sure you do the Spaghetti dinner the night before... and buy all the bake goodies the little ladies of the Creston offer to you!

Yes rides sells out very quick within hours... for reason. One of the best centuries/event rides in CA.

There are TWO Wildflower Centuries.

There is the one sponsored by the San Luis Obispo bike club. The other, on the following day, is sponsored by the Chico, California, bike club.

https://www.chicovelo.org/main/centur.../26-wildflower

I've ridden both. In fact, a decade ago, a friend and I rode both Wildflower centuries on the same weekend.

We called our madness the "Wildflower Double Century." I don't think too many other people, if anyone, have duplicated the feat (which I wrote about here: https://www.davewyman.net/wildflowerdoublecentury.htm).

Hardest part of doing the two rides: the drive from Creston, California, to Chico, about 350 after completing the first century.

While I like both rides, I'm a huge fan of the Chico version of the Wildflower, and I'm going to make the long trek up there from my home in Los Angeles agin this year, with my brother and a few friends (and yes, I'll skip the prior day's ride).

I have always been aware of the confusion between the two "wildflower" centuries. I have done both as well but can't imagine doing them both in the same weekend - WOW quite a feat! I am usually done done after one and can't imagine the drive (drove home right after the Creston WF ride once - about killed me)... good grief!

Funny how people have their preferences... both centuries have great jerseys but I prefer the scenary around Creston (and the surrounding countryside) and the effort of the SLOBC (I like the Lighthouse Century as well)... however both are great events to support.
