Great news from the doc!

Last year, my wife began showing signs of exercise-induced asthma. About the time she was getting to the doc to get it dealt with, she sprained her back severely. Ended up losing her job as she couldn't do the work any more, and has had very slow recovery.

In February she totaled her car - hydroplaned in the center northbound lane, spun to the center divider, back to the center lane but aimed southbound. By God's grace, she got the car off the road. Her 87-yr-old mom and 80-yr-old aunt were unhurt, but she severely sprained her back, but on the opposite side from that she injured last year.

Well, she has been seeing the doc for therapy and treatment every day since the week of the wreck. Progress has been amazing. Best news - she has been released to ride her bike on the trainer 10 minutes a day! Now, trainer time is not usually highly thought of, but we are ready to party! I might have my favorite riding partner back!!!

This is good news David, I hope she can recover fully. She and you will be in my prayers and on my prayer list for strength and recovery. Riding with the wife is a great time for me, I'm sure you will be glad when you both can pedal together again.

Bill

Jeez ... what a skein of bad luck! Sounds like she's been patient and paid her dues, and she'll be ready to go soon. Great news!

Sorry to hear about the string of bad luck -- especially her back. Back problems can be killers...

Hopefully she takes it slow and keeps up with the therapy even after the doc discharges her.

I do stretching and strengthening exercises for my back every morning. It's not a doctor's order. Rather just a simple case of having learned that I have two choices: do the exercises or sleep in a recliner because I can't get in and out of bed.

Best of luck to her!
