Pedro's Blowout Bag
Just picked up the 50 ci model at the LBS for $16. I've got my Tri-Flow, a roll of electrical tape, patch kit, tire irons, a Swiss Army knife, and an extra endplug in there right now. Really like the size, it holds pretty snug, and the recycled tube thing is just cool. I had been wanting one for a while, and low and behold, they had 'em. I need to get a few more things in there (tube, cat, dog food, etc..), but as of now, I love the bag. Just thought I'd share my experience...

Hey, congrats. Question: What do you carry elec tape for? I have some on my bike holding stuff down, but a roll? Do you find it saves you in certain situations? I carry much the same gear in a topeak bag that is quick release, (which I am moderately happy with) except for the end plug - don't know what that is. Is that something you buy in those stores where the windows are painted over? Lastly has anyone found a bag that can carry a minipump securely? I.e. one click and the bag and pump are off while I run in a store or movie?

Its a nearly dead roll of tape and I carry it because I can always find a use for it. Bar tape substitution, I even made a patch with it once (that and some duct tape and Tacky Glue). I just like the stuff. An end plug is what you shove in the hole at the end of drop bars. If you take a spill, its easy to lose one (as I have before), so I keep a spare.

Duct tape is the way to go. I wrap some around my tire iron.
I find zip ties are very good for misc. repairs too. They take up no space and weigh nothing. Shoot, they can even be used as a quickie bike lock!

I was looking at these. This is the one with the mini pump loop on the bottom right? Can you post a photo of how big it is? Like attached to your bike, for size reference. No one local has one and last bag I bought sight unseen was WAY too big.

I have one of these I and I love it. I will try to post a pic pf mine tonight.
I carry 2 tubes and CO2 system, couple of cartridges, small mini-tool, 2 tire irons and could probably fit more in it.

I don't think it has the loop, but check out www.pedros.com for a pic (my camera's in AZ). It's just the standard 50 cu in bag.

I got this bag and it is just too big.
Is this the Pedros bag you have? The photo and description here don't show it but in the Excel print catalog it states that the 50 cu. in. version adds an elastic loop for minipump and their print catalog shows it. If the one from Nashbar is the same as the one from Excel the elastic loop would be hidden by the nylon strap in thier photo. The Excel print catalog photo has the nylon strap on the seat post side of the yellow piping that goes form the top to the bottom of the bag. If it has this loop and isn't too big like my other bag I would love to get one of these.

Hey Chops: both of your links are the same. My bag is an older version. It does have a loop, but its not elastic - only for the strap to run through.
