"Pedal pubs" --- SO COOL!!
Has anyone seen or ridden those pedal pubs? Looks absolutely fantastic! I wish they replace the buses on the street!
"What exactly is a pedal pub? ...they are sort of like a modern day trolley meets the Flinstones. Up to 16 riders sit across from each other, using peddles underneath their seats to slowly power the quadracycles across city streets. A driver sits at the front of the vehicle, steering it along to its next destination."
Watch Video.

If they want to ban it, just replace alcohol with any non-alcohol drinks, it will still be cool!!
(I did suspect this originated from Europe. Indeed, from the Netherlands. No wonder. I think Americans need to learn more from the Europeans how to enjoy life )

This one in Portland doesn't serve alcohol but takes riders to the local clubs at least I think that's how it works.

I think it has great potential to be popularized. It doesn't have to be a drinking party. Any party, and even business meetings, any small group gathering, could be done in this healthy and fun way (we only need the road, of course). Here is another video: Pedal Pub Minneapolis

Surprised it's invented only in the 1990's. I would think it should have been 100 years earlier, as it seems to belong to the pre-automobile age.

I've seen these n Germany. Looks like fun but I wouldn't want to get in the way of it after the crew had a few too many.

There's one of those here in Louisville. You can rent it as a group and go bar hopping on it.

I've seen them in the south bay of Los Angeles. At least I assume they're drinking based on their rowdy behavior. Sometimes they'll even yell words of encouragement to me on my bike
What happens when you have to pee on those things though?

it doesn't run on beer.
it runs on methane, and should be taxed!
hey! sent this to a friend and she says they have 'em in mexico. you tip first because by the time the thing gets back to it's starting point the barflies/passengers/pedallers/whatever have all fallen off drunk.
this is getting weirder- is the operator also the barkeep? can he/she get drunk, too? do you pay by the glass or set price?
also fired it off to germany. waiting for a response.

All I can say is that Bikeforums should throw a party down in New Orleans and get one of these things. Then I say those of us who drink should all hop on-board and just get TRASHED without even pedaling the whole route. Get that Joeybike character to come back from one of his "vacations" and pay him to pedal the damn thing all the way through town for us. Maybe even pay that Iliketobike guy to bartend, crack jokes and insult us the entire way!

With the Pedal pub https://www.pedalpub.com/ running 40k each, I'm not sure they will be come popular as fast as some may think. I did notice several cities now have them though.

I did when I visited Frankfurt, Germany. It was quite fun, and we just stayed in the square.
