LA Marathon Crash Race (Wolfpack Hustle) 2014 - March 9 - IT'S ON!
I know this is WAY early, however, if you are at all interested, please put it on your calendar. PhotoJoanne and I did it last year and can't wait to do it again! Would love to have more company. We did ride the train back last year, but this year we'll probably ride both directions this year, now that we've seen the program. Can talk you through the train if you prefer to do one-way only.
Here is the thread from last year:

The crazies at the front race. We hang at the back and enjoy the ride! AWESOME to ride through the streets of LA when they're all closed! Soooo much fun! Besides, who doesn't like riding their bike at 4am?
So...who's in?

Tunavic (Inked - for sure - no way he's gonna miss it! )

I've penciled in another medical emergency for that weekend, sorry.
Assuming that doesn't pan out I'm all over it. What's better than a 2 am ride?

Understood....but if it ain't on the calendar.......
I only posted this as early as I did so those interested would pencil it in, and be aware of it as conflicts arose. Bring out the whole Unlikely Cyclist team!

BG - what *#&#$ job would have you working at 2 am on a Sunday morning? Don't take that job, sounds like you'd be picking up cones on the 405 at midnight on a Saturday.

The Solvang century is on Sat the 8th. This ride is on the 9th.
I can do both and then have a medical excuse why I need a few days off from work

I'll pencil it in.
Now who wants to sponsor my westward trip!
In all seriousness, not likely. The wifey will be very preggers at that point.....and for those of you with kids, we all know the hormones are crazy.

Solvang was fun last year, I did it with Mssr. vesteroid and the missus. Speaking of which, there's another guy that's been laid low by the rigors of being busy at work.
Speaking of solvang and fun things you can do with strava, can you see anything if you click on this link? This was 102 miles and about 5800 feet, which felt pretty climby but wasn't severe.

veloviewer is a neat site that takes data from Strava and ... well, go check it out. If you click on an activity (after you upload your own) you can go to the 3D profile tab, which is kind of fun to see.

I haven't signed up yet for the Solvang Century but my club (RWBTC) usually has a good presence at local centuries and I'm pretty sure I'll be talked into riding it, ready or not, LOL. How about you PJ, TH and BG?
In any case, I'm doing the LA Marathon Crash Race with you PJ!

@TrojanHorse,
I get the following message:

This isn't your activity! Currently you can only view your own.

I noticed I have my data marked as private - since the veloviewer site doesn't seem to honor Strava's "home" zone (so people can't see exactly where you live) I reckon I'll leave it private.

Beanz was escorted to the door last summer by the mods, I don't think he'll be coming back.
