Garmin 500 Cadence Sensor on Mountain bike
I was wondering if i got one of the Garmin Cadence sensors for my mountain bike. considering its location, would it get damage or moved from doing much trail riding . in all types of conditions from muddy to wet etc?
Just wondering?

Works fine. On some bikes with full suspension, rear triangle movement might effect cadence pickup near max compression (chain stay moves rearward). Positioning the pickup so it's centered mid-travel might mitigate this.

What would be a good Cadence sensor i can put on my Mt Bike. Presently I have the Garmin brand on my road bike. I dont want to get same type for my mt bike as i feel debris from trails would break it . Suggestions of a different Cadence sensor that would still work good with my Garmin 500. thanks
