I'm totally on board with this right up until the belt drive. Unless they've extended range of different cogs and belt lengths. And even then, I'd be tempted to stick with conventional chain. Plus save a few hundred dollar premium for belt. Also, would not go with aluminum rear cog, unsure what is used here, but if you do get a belt system, use a steel rear cog.

buy it with a chain drive then save money .. My Pocket Llama is a bit different , that one will not need a chain tensioner..

What do you think of the new Silk design? Tempted to upgrade?
though I've never seen any pictures of left side, how the disc mount is done..
Is it fixed on the slider with the rear axle. so unchanging with chain/belt tension.. My Koga WTR's approach.
Or like Surly's bikes tension chain. then move caliper to follow where the disc went, and
is there another 'heavy-rider option' With a front triangle its a solid Lock-up to stuff.
With just 1 big tube there is a difference between lock Through, and Around..

And that's a reason I almost didn't buy a Bike Friday. The company really needs to look for a different (and more knowledgeable maybe less clueless/annoying) spokesperson to do their YouTube vids. I know, "can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"... but fer krisake I surely can't be the only one who feels this way. BTW, other than one quick "off camera" vid, I don't do any informational vids on YT and there's a reason why... because I know I suck at it. Some people should realize their limitations as well.

you must be referring to this layback detail on the controltech seatpost (pictured below and in my previous post)?
I do agree, it does seem unnecessary; however, if you imagine the post was completely straight with a 0 offset, you wouldn't be able to slide the seat back as far as you can with this slight setback. It's a minimal difference though, maybe a difference of 10mm? ...15mm?
Probably 5 mm at most bolt head to the front rail which is limited by the saddle rail bend choice..
Only the angle that the hole drilled through the ti tube is closer to the way the rail bend is in relation to the seat itself .
So sliding the seat rail is a bit more horizontal than if it ran straight thru ..
Maybe the kink gave them a bit more metal in the tube above the rear of the piece that pierces it.

I'd toss the current Moulton designs in with this type of frame class, too. Or, rather, the rest of the bunch are trying to make a cheaper-to-manufacture design based on Moulton design/engineering. Instead of a truss frame with many small diameter tubes, use big tubes and a traditional single-plane frame design. Easier/cheaper to manufacture leading to more attractive retail price.

saw this also. a very nicely made custom bike trailer designed for a "dahon 16" bike". made from mahogany. love that bent and laminated arm and the dowel construction elements. also very cool re-purposing of a US mail canvas carrier:

no. had you read the listing, you would know he wet-bent the mahogany and laminated it himself. he designed, built, laminated, and varnished the whole thing himself. it's called craftsmanship. i realize in a world of off-gassing injection molded plastics and cheap aluminum rivets, craftsmanship isn't generally appreciated... also, vintage and decommissioned postal bags can be bought and sold freely.
