Hi all, first year racing cross and I'm looking for some tire suggestions. I know conditions and terrain vary, but I'm in upstate NY and could use some help choosing. I'm looking for an all-around clincher. Thanks.

I raced on Clement PDX clinchers the last two years and think they are a great all around tire. If I was staying on clinchers this year, I probably would run their new MXP in the back and the PDX in the front, but you're probably a good deal wetter than we are, in which case I'd stick with PDX front and back if limited to a single set.

Another Clement fan here. Raced on a set of PDX tires last year for my first season at cross. Tires performed great in conditions that ranged from a hot, dry, and dusty race in late September to a water logged mud fest race in December in a park that basically turned into a big pond from a week of rain.

I need new tires for the coming season. I'll be picking up either another set of PDX tires or checking out the new MXPs. At between $30-40 each, they won't break the bank either.

Thanks for the recs, and yeah, I'm just going with the two, I have some OEM tires that I'll use as spares. I bought the PDX from Treefortbikes for $32 if you're in the market.

Another PDX fan here. I found they worked really well in all conditions I encountered last season.
Like colobrio, I'll probably replace my rear PDX with the new MXP. But our courses here in Boise are probably a but drier than yours!
I think you've made a solid purchase.
