Raleigh 300RC ?? Anybody have one?
I am picking up this bike in a couple of days I plan to get it going and see what happens, could anybody who owns one give me a bit more info
I have ridden one quickly, I am looking for something CroMo to possibly put a Nexus 7 into, I bought a Giant Innova which is coming along but this Raleigh is in far better condition, so will possibly get more attention.

I think these were stickered a Raleigh Pioneer in other parts of the world, I have had it at the back of the shed for a while, pulled it out today to get it running enough to ride to work.
I will stay 3 x 7 but will go with better cranks and a sealed BB (Gulp do not know how much work it is likely to be yet?!)
It will end up with some LX components and maybe some Avid Single Digit levers and V Brake arms. Some Vittoria touring type 700 x 32c tyres, I will get some new CST 700 x 35-38c gumwall tyres soon.
I want to put some planet bike type Black Guards on but they can wait a few months
I need to find a better seat, change chain. I will replace rear(gear and brake) inner cables and lube and dress the outers, for the time being.
I will post a pic soon.

Hey le mans . . .sorry for the delayed response, mine was a shimano tourney? do not know if that was original or not, any 6-7-8 speed derailleur should work though
