Great forum, have been reading it for some time and just signed up finally.
My serious biking started with a custom Marin that a friend built up for me back in the early 90's when I lived in the Bay Area. I spent a lot of miles on that mostly around the Santa Cruz mountains for about a decade, then moved to San Diego and for some reason sort of left it sit. Then we got fat and lazy in office jobs. Turned that around in 2011; lost a bunch of weight and hit the outdoors.
My wife and I both got our bikes tuned up and started riding again, then decided that city riding is more our bag and have been enjoying it quite a bit.
I really dig these forums, they are a lot of fun. As an early adopter to the internet (and self-professed geek) I find it awesome to be able to tap into a bottomless resource for info.
What I got now - custom marin, beater built up SS, most recent road bike, CL find Bianchi that was not given enough time outside. I'm fixing that right now.
