Ankle swelling from clips?

Anyone ever have their ankle swell up a lot post ride from clip in?When i mountain bike without clip in im fine, but when i road bike with clip ins i swell up for about a week.Yes i had an xray and all is fine other then this sprain. My float is maxed out at 15 degrees and yes i ice after.I have speedplay pedals and sidi shoes.I do clip out going outward meaning my heel goes out when i disengage.even had a blood test and all is well.Im not young anymore so i realize that comes into play. And yes.i have been fitted. Thanks all and really want to hear what you have to say as im all out of ideas.Again just want to say this doesnt occur when mountain biking with platform pedals.

I'd go back to that fitter and have him or her take a look.
Might need to shim your cleats to affect the pronation/supination.
Have you changed these pedals since your fitting? If not and the fitting was recent, that fitter should most likely freshen up the fit for free.
Good luck.

How do you push off when starting back up at lights and stop signs? Are the sidi heel pads worn out? If they are still OK, try pushing off from your heel, not the front of your foot.
