Not me.
But my son has... and paid the price! Drafting in that manner, which blocked him seeing a large pothole, which caused an endo, which caused a trip to the e-room!
$4000.00 later and he is all better!

i've motorpaced behind a scooter driven by a coach who had some of her athletes along for a workout. it was allot of fun and something I wish I could do more often. i've also followed wheel vans/race follow cars back to the pack inches from the bumper.
BUT, i would never do what is in that video, that vehicle can stop infitely more times faster than you can, has no idea you're behind them, and you could end up DOA in allot of scenarios. Also, stuff like this is among the many reasons motorists generally hate cyclists.
Whether you can or not, doing stuff like this is bad form all around.

^I agree that I've never seen it mentioned specifically, but I've often seen "reckless" behavior mentioned, and think this follows under that umbrella. For myself, I think riding and racing can be dangerous enough on their own, why engage in activities that increase the risk?

Never once heard or read it mentioned by a motorist. If you look at any anti-cyclist rage on the web, motorists are annoyed most when cyclists run stop signs and red lights, and when cyclists cost them time.
FWIW, I do this a lot less these days, but there are some that I just can't say "no" to.

^I agree that I've never seen it mentioned specifically, but I've often seen "reckless" behavior mentioned, and think this follows under that umbrella. For myself, I think riding and racing can be dangerous enough on their own, why engage in activities that increase the risk?
Crazy. Might be regional attitudes too. I know Austin is entirely different than San Antonio or Houston.

I motorpace on the road and at the track but always behind a motorcycle driven by an experienced motorpacer. I can see the road ahead and a motorcycle is not going to run over obstacles. Drafting a car, van or large truck (notwithstanding whether the driver approves or even knows if you are there) is, IMO, a really bad idea. In addition to sudden stops by the vehicle which have an obvious very bad result for the cyclist, there is another problem that is four wheeled vehicles straddle road obstacles and debris. What if that truck straddled a cement block that was on the road or a bumper that fell off of a car. The cyclist will never see it coming. Just saying.

I have done ears of motorpacing behind coach on his godforesaken scooter and little beats a motorpacing session...

I draft big rigs all the time and jump from car to car sometimes too.
The helmet is not always donned, but that's my choice.
I don't recommend this kind of behavior, but screw it; it makes me happy...
Plus it gives me speed and keeps my skills sharp.
Cannot get that kind of training in your local Wed night paceline.
