Hwy 39 from Encanto to Crystal Lake then down to East Fork and up Little GMR/Big GMR
We'll be doing a ride from Encanto Park in Duarte starting this Saturday morning Dec. 21, at 8:00AM.
From the park we'll ride up the SGRT until it merges with Hwy 39 and from there up to Crystal Lake Café for lunch .
After lunch we'll do the descent down to a left turn on East Fork, probably a stop at Camp Williams if anyone needs food and/or drink, then up Little GMR to the junction; right turn onto Big GMR, then down to another right turn on Sierra Madre, yet another right onto the path to the SGRT (left onto the SGRT) and back to the park.
It will be about 8,000 feet of climbing in about 65 miles.
Anyone in?

Very tempted, it will be cold at Crystal Lake! Like 48 is the high on Saturday and the wind chill will be 38 on the way down. I was going to hike up there on Sunday but everyone backed out. I think I am in, how many people you got confirmed Rick? I want to check my wife's schedule first.

Anny didn't like the start time, so may start at 9:00AM. Haven't heard from Linda yet.

I was really looking forward to this ride but I seem to be coming down with something and I need to stay home and try to recover so, unfortunately, I'm going to have to pass on this ride after all.
As far as I know everyone else noted above is still going. Have a great ride!

Yeah we found that out, this morning. Luckily Nabeel was there and then we ran into the organizer for the Joshua Tree Double lady, very nice. We did the ride excluding GMR. Beautiful , day everyone missed out. There were lots of other riders.

Glad to hear you had a good time! The Joshua Tree Double lady is Anny Beck; very nice, very smart and a great bike rider (colorful bike too).
Nabeel is also a great rider and a great guy; good you got to ride with him too.
