I have a older 2007 dahon mu p8 and I thought the p8 used v brakes. I ordered the v2 replacement pads and when I received them, they do not look like they will fit on my bike. Can someone please help shed some light on which model brake pads I should purchase from kool stop? Thanks

now with some of the newer Cross bikes the pads for those are shorter ,

but still have the stacks of cup and domed washers that make aligning the pads EZ.

Did you just buy the replacement pads, or did you also get the pad holders? I don't believe the stock P8 came with brakes that take replaceable pads, so you may need to get the pad holders as well.

Yep that's what I purchased. So your saying if I get the pads with the holder, it will fit?

Yes they should fit. I've replaced all my V brake pads with Shimanos, and love the simplicity of pad replacement. just keep track of the orientation of the mounting bits as Fietsbob mention, as they are matched.

You will get two sizes of spacers - shorter and longer depending on the width of brake opening. It is always best when you are removing the old unit, take each piece off separately from the nut side first, then withdraw the pad side, and keep them in the exact order they come off, this will prevent any misalignment or wrong spacing when reinstalling.

you said V brakes ? why are you thinking of pads foranother type of Brake ?
