Bianchi with Xenon, which parts should I upgrade to Veloce ?

Bianchi with Xenon, which parts should I upgrade to Veloce ?
Found a dealer happy to customise a new Via Nirone 7 with Xenon on it.
Have noted through many posts that the brake/gear shift levers is way better on the Veloce group, as they're alloy not plastic.
Any other bits important to change, like the front or rear derailleur or the brakes? Don't trust plastic much :-)
ALternatively I'm just getting an Impulso with Veloce, but it's quite a bit up in price...
