Jumbo water bottle cage to accept a Nalgene bottle.
Looking for a simple drop-in water bottle cage to take a regular size 90mm diameter Nalgene bottle. I am familiar with the Salsa "Anything Cage" $30. Maybe a little more than I am looking for. Thanks

My daughter made a conventional thick aluminum wire bottle cage fit a Nalgene bottle by cutting the hoop spreading it a bit then wrapping the ends with tape. It actually worked well

I roll with a couple of 1.5 liter Nalgene bottles, utilizing two BBB XL Fueltanks

I removed the top clips and will eventually get around to buying a couple of pedal toe straps to use as bottle retainers.
They've shown no inclination to fall out yet, but most of my riding has been on tarmac.
The original top clip works great with a narrow mouth bottle like a 1.5 liter coke bottle.

My solution: Ditch the Nalgenes and save some weight. Use 1 Liter soda bottles, which just fit into a standard bottle cage. Cost: Zero, and it's easy enough to replace the bottles because they're all over the ground. Every once in a while you can even find one with a squirt top.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the BBB XL fueltank but it would be about $23 from Amazon plus shipping. I am leaning toward andrewclaus idea, or bend and braze up my own if time permits. If I get one made, I will post a picture of it. Thanks to each of you.

made contact with king cage , setup charge started to make a batch of 2 dozen pencil out.
want to make a group order?
but if you have to buy water to have it safe to drink , then something like the BBB (EU) or Topeak (elsewhere)
makes sense .. it will come in a bottle.

Cannondale used to make a Velcro Bottle cage , the pile part on the bottle..
sticky back velcro would be easy to make any bottle stick to the Burr side.
