Hey guys!
My name is Agustin, i am from Argentina and this is my first post!
I'm going to the US on vacation in a couple of weeks, and i want to buy a folding bike. I want a very cheap bike (200 dollars aprox) because i will use it from my garage to my job (maybe 20 blocks of distance, and only 5 days a week).
Which one do you reccomend in that price range??
Thank you very much!

China made fold in half Dahon clones come in at that low a price ..
daHon is China made but the copies even under cut their prices .
our LBS gets a 1 speed J&B import for pretty low cost , (IDK what figure that number is . )

That's exactly what i need, a commuting bike to bring back to Argentina! I'm going to be staying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but moving a lot around Miami.

You might want to look into Citizen Bikes Folding Bikes by Citizen Bike.
They are located in Florida north of Miami, so you might be able to get in touch with them directly when you are there. There are several models ranging in price from $169 to $399 that might suit your price range and needs.
Good luck!

I'd also consider buying used if you have any experience with bicycles. You can start searching craigslist a couple of days before you arrive...

Looking for a good quality used bike is a good idea like others have suggested. Try to find one that will not present a problem for you in getting service and parts back home where you live.

I bought my Greenzone folder new for $ 200 and it included a travel bag. However look on Craigslist for used bicycles. About 2 weeks ago I got an older folding Dahon for $ 60! Best of luck!

"F***in A" dude (augustinsz), either find a brand name folder on the local CraigsList (yeah, good luck in Florida) or buy a Greenzone/Citizen cheapo Chinese made bike off of the interwebz. I've enjoyed my Citizen Miami quite a bit and the "bang for the buck" was pretty damned good.

LET'S ROLL
I got a Citizen Tokyo a few months ago. I needed it for a trip to Aruba;
stuffed it into a suitcase. It's within your budget and I think it's priced
fairly for what you get. I decided to get this model because I rode one
before when I visited my brother in California, his family has 3 of them:
