I'm pretty good, recently completed my first ever 300km brevet. Now debating whether to attempt a 400 in a couple of weeks... it's tempting but I know if I complete it I'll want to do a 600 to get Super Randonneur status.

Still on it started at 305, got to 205, hit 215, now back on the way down hill. It has been frustrating in that I have been on a ~210 lb plateau for almost a whole year. Eating healthy is a real challenge when only one family member-stepdaughter-supports me. She has lost a lot of weight too.
She's training for a 5k, and we are conspiring to get her mother to do it as a walker.

I've had a few challenges! But, I'm on the recover right now in several ways. So, at the moment things are looking up and I'm doing pretty good.
I'm very happy that through the various other challenges I've managed to only gain 2 or 3 kilos. And, I'm on the way back down from that.
So, right now cycling is good and improving, eating is good, healthy and resulting in slow loss, relationship is great, my mentality is improving, all I need is to make some progress on the fulfilling career front.
Thanks for asking,

Very good. I took a year or so break from bikeforums as well, and started hanging around here again just a month or two ago. I post most frequently in the Commuting forum these days. I am at a very comfortable weight now (230) (remember I'm 6'5) and am very happy. The books say I should be 210 but this "extra" 20 pounds isn't an issue. My wife and I left WW last summer, but we have managed to maintain our weight losses. My total loss was 70 pounds over a period of about 2 years.
I know this is not a popular statement, but the bulk of the successful weight loss was when I stopped bicycling and was using an aerobic walking program (which is why I left BF for my year). But now that I'm at a very healthy weight, the lure of cycling has called me back. I love cycling, and now that I'm not obese it has become a real joy. I feel so mobile, agile, and strong.
When I logged back in to BF and saw you were gone it didn't feel the same lol - But I'm glad to see you back!

I can see your point on weight loss. Cycling, to me, is only good as a tool in weight loss. Your body seems to get used to the movement so much easier so it's a tool I use with gym work outs, kettle bells, walking, and hiking. It's no longer my prime way of exercising and the days of daily rides are over I think. I do need to start commuting more but not every day.

I don't post much to the blog anymore. Just no time but I do miss it. I try to limit tv and Internet time which allows me to be more active outside, inside at the gym and in my social life.

I'm doing good chef. Riding and still going to WW. Picked my bike up today for it's spring tuneup and if the weather co-operates I'll get out for a couple of rides this weekend. I've been adding pilates and weights to my exercise routines to mix it up.
Are you planning any touring trips again this year?

Tours.... Nothing planned. I am kinda living day by day and forcing on weight loss and body transformation. I've always wanted to do Pilates. Have you tried kettlebells? I just started and it kicks your butt. I love it.

Hi Chef
I did a kettle bell workout with my trainer one day. A great workout but my back was sore for days. So I'm working at strengthening my back before I try that again. I'm also going it day by day….I'm really close to my goal and I am more or less maintaining…frustrating but with the weather improving it will be easier to do some longer rides. I just bought Selena Yeager's new book "Bike your Butt Off" I'm going to try her program and hope it jumpstarts my losing again. I'm going to Vancouver for a knitting retreat with my sister this weekend and they supply all the food so I will have to take my own little survival kit to make it through the weekend.
