San Diego family mtb trails?not singles

hi all from san diego! were young parents(26 & 27) with 2 kids(11 & 3) looking for fun trails.
just started family mtbing and just wondering if there are any family friendly trails that are not single tracks..
reason being i have a schwinn 2 seater trailer that my son is in..
i really want a weehoo so it wont hold us back as much but gotta save for it.
im really enjoying it,it has really brought the family closer.daughter being competitive with mommy is fun to see.
so i look around on yelp for trails but when i look at youtube vids of the places they're mainly single tracks and it bums me out.
we dont know much trails at all but were going to go check out what rancho penasquitos has this weekend.
does anyone know any box trailer friendly tracks our family can hit up yet still have what a single track has to offer?(turns, hills, nature, rocks etc)
please let me know! thanks everyone for reading and appreciate the help.

Penasquitos Canyon has a trail. I think it's pretty family-friendly.

Another vote for Lake Hodges. Rose Canyon is fairly beginner friendly.

so went to lake hodges and it was pretty cool.nice views had picnic stuff packed in our bags and had family lunch there too which was cool.
butttt we also went to otay lakes lower trail.i got to say that was fun.little wooden bridges over mud and 2 long ones going over shallow water was even cooler!
thing is it was too short also its only open on wednesday, sat, and sunday which sucks!i park at that fishing dock idk where else to park.
found a weehoo for 200 as well so my son is loving the ride and he looks more involved in our rides,it is plain awesome!
daughter had more fun on the otay trail than the hodges trail but overall likes riding either way. the wifey is planning to get back to sexy mode so she wanted to ride at least 4 times a week,
anyone know of good spots to hit up for morning rides near paradise hills? or of any trails like otay lakes lower trail but not limited to only wednesday saturday and sunday(which sucks!)
please share and let me know thanks guys for the help!

+1 Mostly flat too, which is hard to find in the SD area.
