Not exactly but close enough. It was the sign over the entrance to Auschwitz.
I'm not for a minute suggesting any similarities between Auschwitz and Modesto, only that big signs of weird slogans over entrances to large areas creep me out. It's like clowns. Some love them, some find them absolutely creepy.

Don't boil them. Cut them in half, roast at 400F with a sprinkle of olive oil, until the outer leaves just start to turn black, about 6 minutes.
