My New to me old Raleigh commuter

This is a mid 80 Raleigh Aleyska Touring bicycle. Picked it up off Craigslist for a reasonable price.
Hated the original brake levers and handlebars. Added lots of parts from my garage parts bin including newer but used handlebars, brake levers, tires, seat, new bar tape, clipless pedals and new brake cables and housings. It has 27 inch wheels which are fine for this project. Got carried away and hand painted 3 of the lugs gold. Will someday strip this frame and have it powdercoated a light pastel blue. Removed two of the front sprockets as well as the front deraulier so now its a 6 speed. Rides like a dream. Found a really very nice set of Campy brake levers last night in the garage and will be changing these out soon and waiting on a back rack and a set of fenders.

Also needs some new brake pads. The old ones look dry rotted.

Added these awesome carbon graphite Campy brake levers. Found them last night in the garage. I had taken these off another build a few years back and had misplaced them. So glad to be able to use them again.
