Hello from the middle of Africa...
Hey guys,
Derek here, I am cycling solo across Africa.
I'm originally from Dublin, Ireland but got fed up eeking my way through life and the anxieties that accompanied it last year. So I thought riding a bicycle the length of Africa would be a much better way to be living and flew from Ireland to Cape TOwn
I am at the foot of Kilimanjaro now, halfway to Cairo - I live in a tent usually but have good access to internet most of the time, although in a few weeks that will stop with Ethiopia.
You can follow the trip on No Hanging Around l A Different Adventure Travel Blog although the FB page is the most active!
Anyway hello and look forward to using the forum
Derek

Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome
Oh God yeah, there are heaps of pics - I put the best ones on the Facebook Page which is quite popular www.facebook.com/NoHangingAround
I suffered with fear/anxiety for most of my life so will be making a video to document the journey - ups/downs/scary bits - theres a 2 minute trailer on you tube
Man Faces Fears in Africa (Motivational Trailer) - YouTube
Thanks again for the well wishes!
