World's first night report
wow. my first track races i get to see the world champions crowned. last night was so cool. i was amazed at how fast these folks ride, and how steep(!!!!) the track corners are!
the points race was insane, 160 laps of lactic acid, i swear you could smell it in the air. the polish rider crashed, got back up and still finished ninth. afterward i saw him on his road bike with a backpack on riding back to the hotel( i assume). poles must be on a budget.
it was hard watching the canadian and japanese guy get chewed up and spit out. kinda nice to see the pros are still human though.
if any of you guys can go, do it. there's no bad seats in the place and you can get close to the action. they even raffled off a felt road bike!
anyone else there last night?

Got back from Saturday night - pretty exciting watching the Match Sprint.
And damn, the team pursuit was fast.
I'll have to put up my crappy pictures online after I go back tomorrow (I'm hooked!).

Another exciting day, with some scarey crashes. 3 women crashed in the Keirin, and Bauge ate it in the 3rd match of the sprint semi-finals (and somehow was able to get back on the bike for a re-match and duke it out to eventually lose the bronze - quite impressive). I have a ton more pictures from today - I think I saw some people from the Bicycle Kitchen/Midnight Ridazz - saw one of their T-shirts on someone as I passed by.

oh yeah, today was carnage all over. Bauge's tire blowing was louder than the starter gun.after that i so wanted him to win. i got some pics but frankly they're horrible.
damn i wish the World's were here every year!

Ooh! Great mid/pre-crash photo. Notice the guy on the Look has a rolled front tire, but is still in the air, so it hasn't had a chance to throw him off yet:

I have some of my pictures up here. I'm having issues uploading them, but there will eventually be some videos of the Madison - my GF was having fun with the camera.
