1987 fuji roubaix

I have what I am 90% sure is a 1987 fuji roubaix. I have 2 questions. The first is where can I find the frame size? For the longest time I thought it was a 45cm because of the "4 VALite 5" inscription on the seat tube, but after some resent research found out that is the frame composite. classicfuji.com says that the smallest size made was a 48cm, which got me thinking about my second question. Would it be possible to replace all parts with possibly shimano 6700 ultegra parts except for the bottom bracket and cassette, which I would have to buy a new 6 speed cassette and BB.

I would like to do this because I was sold a Fuji SL1 Pro a few years back that no matter how many times i get it fitted, I just don't feel comfortable in the saddle. On the otherhand my fuji roubaix feels amazing.

Any ideas or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

You have to measure the frame from the center of the bottom bracket shell, to the seat lug.

No you would have use the BB off your newer bike for your cranks to fit. Your STI shifters won't work with a 6spd freewheel.
