thanks for the heads up, but i'd like to add a caveat (lol); for those who haven't gone to the MEC sale before, it might not be a good thing to do if you're at all claustrophobic. i love buy-the-pound and such, but even i felt a bit uncomfortable all squished in the underground parking lot. and after waiting in line and madly searching through the racks, saw the hour-an-a-half-long line up and went home.

i'm pretty sure the bike swap has enough sense to be outside though.

it was underground last year; even the CBN had a booth there selling stuff in the pouring rain. personally, i would avoid it just to avoid the crowds as you say. there are enough used parts between us to keep us all equipt for many years to come. i still think a BF swap is a good idea. or do we pretty much do that already?

yeah it appears to be in conjunction with the CBN. I worked it two years ago when we were outside in the rain. I don't know why they have to have it with MEC, they'd do fine on their own.

Sounds good...

Make sure you download the 1.3 patch and updated punkbuster version. Finding a valid key code is the only tricky part...

Velo-Orange has them. Check out their blog https://velo-orange.blogspot.com/ from April 6, they talk about the new ones they are getting in.

you probably already know that jitensha sells em. they apparently don't reply to emails though..it's been a few months/emails. there's a seller on ebay that constantly has them although he only puts up 1 or 2 at a time (mostly the hammered style in both 35 and 40mm). they go anywhere from $60-90US. figure to get nailed by inflated shipping and duty. keith told me to check out bike specialties so they're probably a good bet. i'll let you know if i can get through to jitensha so we can save a bit on shipping.
