Before the popularity of Craigslist etc. I used to go to that and fill my van absolutely full of good used bikes. Found many a gem there. Of course this was when used classic Campy equipped track bikes could be had for $500.
*end of thoughts of the joyful old days*

That feature seems like it'd be most useful in setting seat position than anything else.

Naw it changes the whole geometry, as the attack angle is reduced. To engineer a system like that to simply adjust a perfectly adjustable seat would be grounds for tearing up someone's degree.

GRRRR

I, being an idiot, think I left my two PAC tool bags somewhere at the Ex finish of the race. If anyone happened to pick them up OR the tools in there I would love to get them back. If not then I guess I'm paying the stupidity tax for replacements.

PS: thanks duppy and TJ for the spokecard, I and I thank you

Your welcome, for my small part. Keith did a biggie by laminating them as well, as the laminator was pressed for time.
How did your footage turn out?

A buddy of mine emailed me yesterday telling me he wanted to buy a road bike. His budget is about a grand. I have to talk to him about what specifically he wants to ride, but what are people thoughts on the best type of bike.

I don't want to get into the whole "well, is the Trek X better than the Specialized Y", but I was thinking that he might be better off getting a good used bike, rather than a mediocre new one.

Craigslist seems like a good place for people who know what they're looking for, and want to fix it up. But that Canadian Cyclist Classifieds seems to be a good site. Any other sites where you might be able to pick something up locally (ie. go for a bit of test ride, and not spend an equal amount to the selling price on shipping).

2Wheels: Good seeing you yesterday!

BTW, I've done about 11k on my Pro Race 2 front wheel, and 6k on the back. I suppose I should put on new ones, but I haven't flatted since I changed out the back tire (6k ago), so I just figure keep going until I need to change.

Don't worry man Toby found them and picked them up. He called me yesterday to get your number. Did you hear from him? If not drop me a line and I'll give you his number.

the bars just look dangerous as hell in a crash. It's one thing to break a thumb on a hood, but those look like you could get seriously tangled in a crash. I'd give it a Chuck Yeager though. Shouldn't there be a second pivot at the BB?

HA, Dan if I rolled up with one of those for you we'd both want to ride the crap out of it. I mean I agree its kinda crazy but I'd still want to see how fast it would make me feel.

The Rol San is always weird. One time I will think it's the greatest food ever, the next time I'll think it's bland and boring. Strange place.

After eats mayhaps a ride around the city? Nothing too serious just a lazy spin/cruise. Toby and Ryan (I'm not sure which one...) are going for sure and I'm pretty sure I'm down. Around 1ish. Anyone up for that? Give me a call/PM I'll be here until about 12:30.

Hmm ok. Well during the day I can make no guarantees where I'll be at any given time. Maybe I'll just toss the tire in my bag and if I'm over that way I'll drop by and drop it off. Will you be around later than 5 any days this week? Because that would make it a lot easier for me to commit to a time.
