taking downhill turns: tips

taking downhill turns: tips
Does anyone have any tips for a newb for taking downhill turns better.
Such as: weight shifting, braking, placing weight on pedals etc.

brake before the turn, as you enter the turn you should have slowed down enough to remain in control. This will take some practice to get to the point of how little or how much to slow down.
I used to race BMX, so I'm old skool style, outside pedal down pushing my weight onto it for more tire grip, inside leg up and my knee pointing outwards. Knees and elbows flexed, body weight neutral (middle of the bike) or even forward for more front grip. As you reach the apex of the turn, you shift your weight back and start pedaling.
