lookin at gettin this bike and was wondering what a kind of fork would make a good upgrade. is it possible to put a 150mm fork on this bike?

i would say its not a good idea to put 150 as its meant for 100mm and this could snap the top part of the frame the headtube i think its called>?
also i would reccoment an mx comp (eta) or a dirt jumper 3 but could add more if you tell us for what kind of riding

well i have a dj3 on my pro with 5 " of travel ,130 mm and i don't see any problems.150 mm might be pushing it ,but it might be very much possible.it puts different tensions on the frame/headtube but the way the frame is welded with that extra welld on the bottom on the headtube it looks tough.

putting 150mm on your frame will screw the geo on it, making it fairly horrible on flat and general riding. Apart from issues like the headtube snapping, 150mm will probably get in the way. However, if you do only plan on launching off stuff on it then fair enough - but for any techy street riding 150mm will be a b****y nuisance... I would look at something like a psylo, or even better a pike (rockshox) as they have a very good range of travel settings - psylo:85-125 (or 80-125, not sure) pike:95-140.
I have heard a lot of good stuff about these forks, but the pike seems better if you can afford it. I want one!!....

I think 120/130mm is the reasonable limit for a Hardrock frame. I'm thinking about getting a Marzocchi Dropoff or whatever it's called, aparently my LBS has them for around 350 euros.

I had a Z1 130mm on my pro and liked it was great. 130mm is probably the limit.

oh 150 mm will screw the geometry ,but some of my friends actually like it .i consider the geo with the 130mm fork as much better than 100 mm,i also put a second 1.5 " spacer under the stem.i am not an physics expert but i think the stress on the headtube is overated because the longer travel will somewhat equal it all out.

When you crack your frame, dont come running to us.

A 150mm fork is 150mm for a reason. Dont put a long travel fork on a HR just because you want to look cool in front of your friends. Thats just like smoking because of peer pressure. If the type of riding you do requires 6 inches+ travel then the HR is not the frame to be experimenting with.

The longer travel is WHY the headtube is more stressed. A greater amount of torque will be exerted on the headtube by a longer fork.

well i know that the rockhopper comes with a Marzhooci 130mm on it, what would be a good recomendation for a 130mm fork? i weigh about 150 and i wanna do some good trail riding with some drops and jumps.
