Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is this price good for Sidi Genius 3s?

I have a chance to purchase a pair of Sidi Genius 3s in excellent condition for 75 plus shipping. Is this a good price, or should I ask for a lower price?

I got a new pair on sale for around $100 from a LBS. It is last year's model but not much different from the current Genius 4.

How do you like the 3s. I have a pair of cheap shimanos , hoping there will be a nice difference.

Bikes: Lots

MSRP New for the Genius 3's and now 4's was/is about $180. So I'd say $75 is a pretty great deal. Any more left over? I'm needed a size 45.

The 3's are pretty comfortable, light. They are supposed to be better for narrow feet, but my feet are wide and they are very comfortable. No complaints so far.

I just bought a pair of SIDI Genius 3 MEGA's. They are wider than the standard Genius 3's if you have wide feet. I paid $140 at my LBS. I've been told by several folks that these are one of the better road shoes on the market, and one of the few for wide feet. I haven't actually worn them yet, as my bike won't be ready until Wednesday. I'll let you know more next week on my first ride.
