Just as the best place to buy a Big Mac would be McDonald's, I'm assuming the best place to buy Brotures parts would be Brotures.

Guys please, the man clearly sells whoppers and wraps the cable for the rear brake around the TT.

For the record, I saw the post before scrod replied and knew scrod would have fun responding.

[Because I can't send PMs]

Hey Scrod,

I was planning on buying a headset, fork, seatpost, handebars, chain, cog, and pedals from
Retrogression's website. I have a Leader 721 that I bought off ebay a little while ago. After looking at what your 721 + Fork deal actually included I realized buying that frame off ebay was the wrong choice. I believe the proper price for the headset, fork, and frame is $518. If I were to buy that same headset and fork plus the other components I mentioned totaling up to $518 is there any way I could get that for $400 instead? Basically, I'm asking for a pretty tall order. Had to try though.

So we would essentially have to give you a $118 discount for purchasing your frame somewhere else?

I'm not trying to be a dick but it doesn't really work that way. Assuming you bought the frame from Coghouse (Leader's eBay store), it would make much more sense to ask them if they'll sell you a headset and fork for a discounted price.

Yeah, I understand completely. I had to ask though. That frameset deal just looks so good compared to what I'd already done, and I was just trying to salvage my fiscal mistake. Maybe I'll sell my frame, and buy the set from you.

Hey Scrod,

A co-worker of mine is taking vacation in San Diego starting tomorrow, asked him to pick me up a water bottle from your shop while he's down there since he's close by. You have any other styles or colors besides the one on your site?

Any change of getting a Dia-Tech Dirt Harry left in black? And an even harder task of a Dirt Harry right in purple?

More black Dirt Harry levers will be here in a few days. Dia Compe doesn't make that lever in purple anymore.

hey buddy,

you able to get that mx30 freewheel in 19t? (or a comparable freewheel in cheapness/quality)

subquestion: due to the clamp sizes, should cross levers always be clamped by the stem or can i put them near the grips? (kinda dumb question probably)

MX30 only comes in 16,17 & 18t but I should be able to find you a comparable 19t freewheel without too much trouble.

To use a cross lever up near the grips on most bars, you'll need to use one with a 24mm clamp and shim it.

I've always used a small piece of a rubber reflector shim.

We don't have those all black Paselas in stock but can get them within 2 days.

Question about the Fyxation Eastside fame set.

It looks like they recently changed the frame set a bit, adding fender eyelets and a bottle mount. Do you have this updated frame set in stock? And if so does it actually have bottle mounts because some frames are pictured with them and some are not and the descriptor and spec list on their site do not make note of it.

Thanks.

I'm not quite sure when they changed them but some of the frames we have in stock do and some don't.

Both are good steel frames for the money with equal overall quality. Get whichever one you like better.
