Those are easy ones!

The hub will run you $90 and the rims will be $24 each (700c/black or silver).

you are awesome, i couldnt find the hub anywhere for less than 110, and the rims for less than 34. this is why i love RG.

ill probably be getting that built up from you soon, i figured instead of buying a velomine wheelset ill just make a rear to match my drum front

ask scrod: ever built or used one of those hubs? opinions?

Thomson X2.

We can get the Salsa Cowbell handlebar but they cost much less (as in they're selling them for wholesale) here.

Cool, Thanks Scrod. One other question, do you know if the purple Chris King components were a limited run?/ Do you see the headset available?

I sent some big money your way just now Scrod.

Got a dollar cog, and some stickers.

Seriously though, looking forward to being able to change my gearing slightly. I've been waiting to catch a 17t on sale.
Thanks

Sorry I missed this. Things have been extremely hectic lately.

It looks like purple is gone.

I'll definitely spend some more money with you guys to finish up my build. Thanks for the Retrogression sticker too, I appreciate it.

Thank you too!

No prob!

$1 cogs come and go without any rhyme or reason. Keep checking!

Hey Scrod,

I was wondering if you were still a dealer for Bern? I was finally looking to get an Allston and noticed you had no helmets on the site but figured you likely still have them in the shop.

They were barely selling from the site so we took them down but we have a ton of them at the shop. E-mail or call us tomorrow to see if we've got the size/color you're looking for in stock.

Scrodzilla, I'd like to get a shorter stem for my new stripper #kilott ; I think the stock is 110 mm on the 57 cm which I'm finding too long. I see on your site that I can get a Dimension stem for $22 and a 1" to 1-1/8" shim for $5. I presume I should be set with these two, but can you confirm I need the 26mm bar-clamp version, please?

The bikesdirect site states the stock bar is 26mm:
Save Up to 60% Off Fixie | Fixed Gear | Track Bicycle | Mercier Track Bikes | Singlespeed Bikes - Kilo Stripper

But a 25.4mm bullhorn bar I had lying around seemed to work ok in the stock stem. My LBS thinks I need a 25.4mm stem, but they don't have a lot of #kilott experience. I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I did search and found:
Kilo TT handlebar clamp size?

...where @TehK said:
Quote:
Bars are 25.4, so the clamp is 26.0ish.
and
Ask Scrod
where you said the stock bar is 26mm (hopefully still true for current model)

Also, is it possible to get any shorter than 70mm (maybe something other than a Dimension)? I'm on a budget, but would like to go as short as possible, thanks.

BikesDirect OEM specs often vary so I have no idea what diameter your bars are. Why didn't your local shop measure instead of giving you a roundabout answer?

If you need a stem shorter than 70mm, you bought the wrong size bike (assuming you're not built like a Tyrannosaurus rex).

Hey Scrod,

I'm debating between a DA 16t cog and EAI 16t cog (Not a Phil Wood hub, so compatibility should be the same)-- I've read around and the consensus is that they're about the same-- which do you prefer/think runs quieter?

Also, do you have any more of those "One Less Roadie" stickers? I can't seem to find them being sold separately in your online store any more.

Thanks!

Both cogs are good but I always find EAI to be quieter. Also for the record, I use EAI cogs on my Phil hub without any trouble at all.

One Less Roadie stickers are only available as part of the sticker pack.

Hey Scrod, do you by chance sell just the non-driver side crank arm for sram s300... it got stripped from a loose pedal and I don't want to buy a whole new crankset since I just got this a few weeks ago.

We have no way of getting individual arms. You could always just take it to a machine shop and have them helicoil it.

Oh, and be sure to install your pedals correctly.
