The padding on the '80 reissue is nice. I never had a problem with the standard reissues but after parking my ass on one of these, I like them even more.

I loooooove my new Turbo.

Needs more drop, bro.

Scrodzilla 04-08-11 02:43 PM

Ha! It totally looks like I've got about a foot of drop in that pic. I don't.

Dude that suede Turbo looks SO SICK. I got my stuff also, I like the small box you used, lol.

Hey Scrod, I just noticed Retrogression is carrying Lizard Skins DSP bar tape...

I found these over it bike Island, and I was interested to know about the double colored stuff... Does it fade from white to the color, or is it abrupt? Have you seen them? I can't for the life of me find a photo via google of the stuff. I'm definitely thinking about picking up some for my new build, but I just don't know which route to take... Possibly the white to blue or white to red.

Scrodzilla 04-09-11 04:12 PM

From what I've seen, it's an abrupt color change - designed to have one color on the drops and the other color on the tops separated by hoods/levers (if wrapped correctly).

Damn, Squirelli and I found a photo... you are right, its an abrupt color change. Well than perhaps I'll just have to go with white. Thanks.

Hey Scrod, what do you think about the '4x' Clip/strap combo? Any thoughts before I purchase?

Scrodzilla 04-17-11 05:42 PM

I used a set for a while and they held up really well. They're the same straps as your typical All-city, Origin 8, etc double straps without the branding.

homebrewk 04-17-11 06:00 PM

Thanks for the info! Would you recommend single or double straps? What's the difference? (if any)

Scrodzilla 04-17-11 06:20 PM

When I first started using doubles I thought they felt bulky but they did grow on me. A good quality single strap is probably just as secure as doubles but to me, doubles "feel" more secure.

Thanks again. Sold!

I like the build so far. What tires are those?

Scrodzilla 04-18-11 02:13 PM

Rolling on cheapo Michelins until my Schwalbe Duranos arrive.

Scrodzilla 04-18-11 02:22 PM

BTW - 'Wounded Knee' knickers hit the store this afternoon and quantities are extremely limited!

scrod: is this a one time thing or you going to come out with different patterns?

Scrodzilla 04-18-11 07:35 PM

It may not be a "one time thing" but this run is very limited. We may come out with different colors and such somewhere down the line but it's hard to say when.

davismatson10 04-19-11 12:29 PM

Are you guys going to have those Deda bullhorns back in stock anytime soon?

Scrodzilla 04-19-11 04:58 PM

I'm not sure. Our distributor is having a hard time getting them and I'm under the impression that Deda has stopped making them. :(

homebrewk 04-19-11 07:15 PM

One last thing... what about those windbreakers? I remember 'em from a while back and I hope you will get some more soon.

Scrodzilla 04-19-11 07:26 PM

You're crazy, man...our windbreakers (aka the 'Calv') haven't come out yet!

Oops. I must have seen them in a dream... :o

Either way I'm buying.

Scrodzilla 04-20-11 08:15 AM

homebrewk 04-20-11 09:57 AM

Oh yeah, I messed up typing. I meant I heard about them in this thread earlier, and I'm wondering if (and when) they are available.
