I know saddles are based on personal preference, but... Brooks c17 or c15
Has anybody ridden both? Can you share your opinion if you have either? They are $150 and I don't want to have to buy both to see which works better.
I ride an Arione but want to try something new. I think the c15 would be closest to the arione but Ive never ridden a wider saddle so i'm not sure which i would prefer.

I've had both. Got the C17 first for my townie but then exchanged for the C15. The C17 is narrower and designed for a more aggressive(read: leaning forward) position, whereas the C15 is wider and designed for a more upright position.

Do you have that backwards? I thought the c15 was narrower.

I have both C15 and C17 and can second what franswa posted sans clipping model numbers. Very comfortable saddles.
My only jeers is that the rubber saddle shell tends to be a bit too flexible for my liking, especially on the C17. Worst part is there's no way to adjust the flex/ tension as with brook's moo-cow counterparts. I've heard the rubber subtly softening/ "breaking in" over time with usage too. The fabric that's vulcanized to the rubber shell below is not protected whatsoever and easily subject to fading/ discoloration and fraying at the sides with use.

I don't have a C15 but I do love my C17 and will probably get one at some point in the near future for my vintage road machine (and save the old world champ Turbo for pictures and stuff).
I am close to 200 so my fat ass likes a little bit of width.
I have done a decent bunch of riding on C17 and never had any issues on it aside from just wanting to ride more : )
