Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

These threads are always excellent. Can we talk about brakes vs no brakes next?

It's kind weird that they don't have lamb. What grocery store do you go to?

Nice!

We had cabrito burgers at my parent's house on Sunday. They were excellent.

Stew pieces work really well for shepherds pie, if yer not into ground beef. And Guinness is better than water......

Today I bought two pounds of Greek style cole slaw at Central Market. I've never had it before and I'm in cole slaw heaven.

Unkle,

This is quite time intensive, but delicious:

French Onion Soup: The Cooks Illustrated Way Recipe - Food.com

It's a winter tradition to have the men cook FOS for the group w/ appropriate libations and yarning for the >5hrs it takes.

Do you think you could pull off a vegetarian French Onion Soup? I make great vegetable broth but I feel like the flavor would just come out all wrong.

If you flavored the veggie broth with mushrooms you might have a decent french onion soup.

how do you guys with beards handle eating? i personally wait till the end to eat all the food out of it instead of attempting to clean myself off after every bite

plus i like the crazy hobo effect it gives in public eating situations
