Buy Fuji Feather OR Upgrade My Stock State Bicycle?

I've been riding for a few months now and I've been enjoying it more than I thought I would.
To be honest, I'm kind of addicted to it.

Well, I bought my current bike, State Bicycle Immortal, on craigslist as new for only $200.
Matte Black 5 Bicycle : Fixie & Fixed Gear Bikes | State Bicycle Co.

Anyhow, I'm interested in a more "proper" bike, and I was interested in the Fuji Feather.

Should I put $500 for the Fuji? Or should I just make upgrades to my current bike?
Thanks

Edit: If upgrading, what components/parts should I upgrade?

I have a Feather and I'm very happy with it, but, just from looking at the specs of the State, I'm not sure it would be a huge upgrade... Both are CroMo steel frames, comparable weight and entry-level components, I think. If you spend 500 on upgrading the State, you would probably end up with a better bike

When upgrading, start with what matters most to you, I think. Do you want it to be lighter? Smoother ride? Fancier?

I similarly bought a cheap bike to get into biking and then wanted to upgrade. I thought I'd slowly upgrade the components on my jamis beatnik and eventually buy a nice frame, and then put all of my nice components on the new frame. I didn't end up doing that because the beatnik takes a 25.6mm seatpost, and I couldn't find a quality seatpost (I really wanted a Nitto) in that size. I can't tell from the link what size seatpost the Immortal takes, but you might find it difficult to get nice components for it. I'd probably spend the $500 on a new frame and install the components from the Immortal. Then you can slowly upgrade the components and end up with a really nice bike and a beater you don't worry about locking up.

Do you think it's worth it to buy a Kilo TT instead of upgrading my current one?

Seriously though, both of those bikes seem like they're exactly the same bike only with different decals. Six of one, half-dozen of the other...meh. Use the $500 on strippers and cocaine. Or not. Or maybe just save it. You never know when you'll be unemployed.

It's always "worth it" to buy a Kilo TT.

No.

There is sort of a forum "joke" in that it is the single most suggested bike to ALL who ask.

^ If there's any joke it's all the other entry level bikes people spend $400+ on. Not that I'm laughing, but hey.
