Planning to ride my bike from work and to school. I found these bikes that I like and cannot pick one. Which bike would be the best choice to ride on southern california streets to work and school. Planning to replace the tires, pedals, cages, and straps. Also make the gear ratio 48:16, if it isn't already. Let me know what you guys think. Share this thread with your friends and have them submit their suggestions. Max budget is $600. thanks

How long is your commute? Do you want speed or comfort? Will you ride fixed or single speed? Do you have any experience in cycling? What has led you to these options versus other available bikes? What do you think is important in a bike? Why do you want to replace the tires and pedals/cages/straps? And what will you replace them with? Are looks/colors important to you? How big/small, heavy/light are you? I could probably go on, but this information might help people say something useful. Other than KiloTT.

Dude, Big Shots are a ripoff. For that money you could go to Walmart and get 3 or 4 Thrusters.

Not sure if joking or not, but you heard wrong. Huge POS!!! Oh, they are great, if you plan on replacing everything on the bike immediately.

@Scrodzilla well that thread was to help choose what bikes I want to pick from. But no one useful answered there. Seems like there arent useful people for this thread either. Why can't people just answer the question to the thread around here? These fools that post on my thread just talk about random ****. Maybe I should find another forum?

Ictoanta asked you valid questions, to help you.

Personally, I think all your "choices" suck. First year, "fresh cut" bikes. Regardless of what you get, you'll probably be flipping it on craigslist as a "sweet fixie, bro" in a couple months anyway.
