We have a Huffy mixte I can sell you for that.
A Raleigh would be about twice that give or take.
I'll look around and see what's laying around.

Enjoy

It's for charity man.
The money we raise goes toward bike safety and maintenance education.
Either way I'll check around, verify a price and get back to you.
If you find one cheaper in the mean time then 'you got the bonus plan'.

Enjoy

Is this what you're looking for? This is my dad's old 1971 Grand Prix that I gave to my brother in law after converting.

It so happens I have one in the basement. This what you are looking for? The bike is pretty much pristine, considering it is from 1972 or so. I bought it for the brooks saddle and gave the bars to a friend doing a restoration.

I only ride mixtes, myself. Have you checked Bikes Not Bombs, or Garage de Velo? Those are the places I got mine.

Mixte frames have two thin bars that run from the head tube to the rear drop.

I've always been intrigued by that frame design, I see them all the time (mixte that is) always in the poorest condition you could imagine, most that I see are destined for the dumpster. Yet I think there might be 1 and only 1 in the fixed gear gallery....

why were they made like this? early step-thru concepts?

Technically Mixte frames are not designated as women specific.
Thus the name Mixte or mixed use, male and female.
