Hey folks, this has probably been gone over a hundred times, but I didn't find anything in the search.
I am in the process of upgrading a SS bike (SE Draft frame and fork) that I have had sitting around for a bit, and the newest part swap has left me with some questions. I picked up a set of Sram Apex brakes today to replace the Chinese pieces if **** that came with it and the they just don't seem like they want to fit. Both Sram brakes have much shorter bolts than the stock ones do. In watching some Youtube videos it looks like I may have to drill out the back sides of the frame and fork in order to slip the shouldered nuts that come with the new brakes though... is this correct? I have no problem doing so if that's the case, but I want to make sure that I'm on the right track before I start altering the frame. Thanks for your help, I come from a MTB background and the road stuff is definitely new to me.
