Are WI splined track cogs compatible with the Miche cog carrier? For FFWD track disc
I am a visually impaired stoker in the U.S. Paralympic Cycling Division. We use a FFWD disc on the track but the cog is hell to remove after any sort of standing start work. So, will the WI splined cogs work on the Miche cog carrier? I read that the Miche Cog carrier should thread onto most track wheels so hoping the Miche Cog carrier will thread onto my FFWD track disc and that the WI splined cog will then slide onto the Miche cog carrier. My spoiled wheels we use for training are both WI splined hubs which is why I already have the WI splined cogs.
I don't know if FFWD is your sponsor or not but maybe you can have them build with a WI hub or spline pattern. If not maybe you might get a wheel sponsor that could do that?
Though maybe a better chainwhip might be a better option. From what I have heard from folks who have ran Miche DTs is they aren't all that great and if you are at pro competition track level I wouldn't want to use a lower cost cog. I would go with something like the Sugino Gigas or EAI Gold Medal (which are nice because they are different colors for different sizes)
If not that find someone to machine you a WI cog carrier similar but nicer quality to the Miche version just with the proper splining for WI. Maybe even WI might do it for you if you ask nicely and tell them who you are and what you are doing and if they say no tell them if you don't get that carrier, the terrorists win, since Americans hate that kind of talk!

The WI cogs are a little different than Miche uses but you can get Miche cogs very cheap. If you happen to be working with Mike Creed out of the OTC, just have him get you in touch with his dad to get you some cogs really cheap. His dad is the general manager at the shop I work at in town and we can easily order those for you very cheap. We already have a deal worked out with the OTC Velodrome so it could be very easy/cheap.
