Alright I've probably posted my bike in this thread too many times but today deserves a post because I've finally got this bike exactly where I want it. Replaced the 23c front tire with a 25c conti super sport, thank gob. Replaced everything that had been rounded out/left to rust by the previous owner, including the cog (put a Soma one on there and the whole drivetrain is soooo quiet), lockring, and axle nuts. Got a diatech BMX lever on the new risers. I should be able to leave this bike alone for quite a while now.

That's a nice looking bike. As long as you post it in a different setting each time, you're welcome to repost it as many times as you like.

Just keeping the ball rolling here with minor but significant changes to my SSFG bikes:

1) Switched my Pasela PTs from 28mm front and 32mm rear to 25mm front and 28mm rear on the 2014 chrome Soma Rush. The 25mm runs small, more like a 23mm.

2) Replaced crappy 32mm Kendas on the Windsor Clockwork with used Clement Strada LLG 28mm takeoffs from my geared Salsa Colossal Ti.

3) Replaced Delta Axlerodz bolted skewer on the Zipp 303 front wheel on my Bianchi Pista Concept with the original Zipp ti QR so I no longer have to remember to carry a 5mm hex wrench.

Here's an older photo of my RYD Blends commuter.

I have Pasela PTs and i wish they didn't run so narrow. I was really looking forward to running a 28 but they measure at 25 on Ellipses.

Going by the comment about:
"I have Pasela PTs and i wish they didn't run so narrow. I was really looking forward to running a 28 but they measure at 25 on Ellipses. "
One is inclined to believe that those are Ellipses.

I was in my shed the other day and saw my single speed Cannondale hanging on the wall , so I got it down and dusted it off , pumped up the tyres , lubed the chain and went for a ride into town .
I realised how much fun it was , but I was also reminded of the reasons why it was hanging on the wall .
The stiff alloy frame for which these bikes were famous for and the 700 x 23c tyres pumped up to max pressure transfer every single bump an hit straight through my body .
I got home and hung it back up on the wall .
But it got me thinking and planning a new build .
After many hours of searching and quite a few dollars I have the components on their way to my place to build a new bike that hopefully will more rideable for this 47 year old .
Here is a pic of the Cannondale .

Like everyone said, they're Mavic Ellipses. I took a photo of it today at school to show the SKS Fenders and WTB saddle that replaced the Specialized.

And then here's a more recent photo of the Detroit 2. My friend let me try out his Cinelli bars. They're nice but the reach is a little much for my stature.

Ken. Install fatter tires and drop the air pressure. It will help a lot. I'm 22 years older than you and ride a bunch of stiff aluminum framed bikes on the road w/o any problems. If I can do it then so can you. htfu.

I do not actually, i gotta give my bikes proper photo shoots then i'll do it. Thanks for the headset. And thanks! It helps to spend all of your money on bikes, for better or for worse.

Trek T1 with DIY fade job inspired by old Ritcheys. Just tossed drops on it for the first time after running ultra-wide risers for a while. Excuse the bad photography

Only ss I've got. Cheap craigslist rockhopper that's a little too small for me, converted to ss for radness.

Also: how do I make images display larger? Not obvious via wysiwyg or FAQ page, unfortunately.
