I'm glad I prefaced my post as I did. I inferred from your "......This causes the bike to pivot on the front wheel, lifting the rear wheel up." that you were describing actual lifting of the rear wheel, not just a reduction in rear axle load.

To be 100% clear to those who don't see it. The rear wheel cannot actually lift off the ground because just when it's about ready to do so, the forces that would cause it to lift are eliminated.

Best pancakes I ever had were in a dive bar in Mexico. I think they replaced the water/milk in the batter with heavy cream. They were so rich it was like eating desert.

That's how it's supposed to be done.

I dunno, the road is the most likely place but I've ridden them on a track, which I do enjoy. I assume a track bike would be better on the track, I just haven't tried yet.

Also, I've enjoyed fixed-gear townies on the road, and "FGFS" bikes too although I prefer singlespeed for those too. I just don't like riding fast on road with fixed gear. I don't wanna spin mach chicken down big hills and I like to really lean over in corners so I gotta have the ability to coast.

Now that we've exhausted that topic, back to food.

For burritos I only require flavour. I'm not hung up on semantics for bikes or burritos. Better not **** around with my chile realleno however. So far I only like those with a poblano and cheese like my mama makes.

I also like buttermilk, dutch baby, and cornmeal pancakes, both the heavy kind and the somehow magically fluffy cornmeal pancakes that my wife has figured out. Jack Johnson-style banana pancakes are nice too. Those cream-based ones sound delightful.

Your body wants to stay in motion as the bike is decelerated, more weight is put on the front wheel and the rear wheel locks up. I've dropped chain while riding brakeless a couple of times. Once while fixed, chain jammed up between tire and chainstay, locked up rear wheel. Once on brakeless freewheel; I just jammed my foot behind the fork to stop.

How were you planning to stop before the chain came off?

Just like I did

Sometimes if there was an upslope or some thick grass nearby I'd just point it up that way and jump off running beside/behind the bike.

Simply wrong. Try speeding down a descent backwards and slam on that rear brake and come back and tell us that an endo is impossible.

What is this crazy world that has front brakes on the back of the bike, back brakes on the front, and rice in all the burritos?

rice in my burritos every time, never knowingly had chorizo or lengua.

I really ought to start using a clicker wrench on my back wheel as I have, with spotless dropouts and washers, thrown chains twice on fg and four times way back in my bmx days.

Latkes and lengua.

Best latkes here in Wisconsin, best lengua down in Tijuana.

And I've dropped chains before while brakeless. Sometimes you get "lucky" and it wraps around the cog and locks the wheel. Other times it flies off and you fred flintstone down the hill on sparking SPD cleats, looking badass but also peeing yourself.
