Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Anyone here riding a Brooks B33 on your fixed gear?

How's it feel? Ultimate in urban skid-stopping comfort?

have one, but don't use it

They are designed for bikes where you sit quite upright and pedal your legs slightly forward rather than down. As a result putting them on something that's not an english 3 speed means you will rub your thighs quite a bit.
You might get away with it if you lace the edges

I've heard the thigh rubbing thing. But I may want to chance it. Just put a B190 on my touring bike, and it's very cushiony. Kind of want to try the B33 on the fixed gear and see how it does. Ever since I got fat, my B17's just don't support me well enough anymore.
