Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

is it just me?

or are the moderators really, really prejudiced on what is 'FG/SS' specific.

We can talk about 'messin' ad nauseam. Likewise with discussions on frame geometry, traveling, locks, pictures of cyclists, critical mass, 'show me pictures of your bike', and any one of umpteendozen other non-fixed related topics.

post one the moderator gets bored with....ziipppp

MOVED FROM GENERAL CYCLING DISCUSSION>>>>>>Thread: Do I look Stupid?>>>>>>>>

Whoah... i guess this is a general cycling discussion... i only ride a fixed gear at this point but i can see how this is less about fg and ss than:

-"My new Dank bag"
-"Continental GatorSkin Tires: Price?"
-"Shoved by a car passenger last night"
-"Anyone from the netherlands?"
-"What music do you listen to?"
-"Bikeless... " (yes there was no mention of anything specific to fixed gears in the posting)

perhaps someday i will understand where moderators draw the line... or at least how. As it stands, there are more boundary changes here than in israel.

I remember one of my posts got sent to safety and advocacy. I'm sure that part of the forum gets lots of views. No offense to 165 I'm sure that is where it belongs, but I wanted people in this forum to act...

One of the reasons posts do get moved to other areas is for better input, not as punishment. No reason to start yet another thread dedicated to "Where's my post?" - as always, if you have problems, questions, complaints, etc - PM any mod. We do our best to make these places as informative for the members as possible.
Thanks!

ps> When a mod moves a post and leaves a redirect, this allows for people in the FG/SS forum to see the pointer to thread and react if they choose to do so.
