Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

New year, new thread. Please post only your SS/FG bikes, and use the Geared Bikes thread for anything with gears.

Here's mine:

How effective is that rear fender at keeping slush out of your crack?

It's really good at keeping slush away from my seatpost/seat tube junction, which helps keep the rust on the inside of the frame at bay.

Happy New Years everybody! Very nice bikes on this page so far and I admire your initiative @mdilthey...but while you are at it - somebody should probably get the old SS/FG pic thread locked

This is my first attempt at a single speed bike. It isn't fully complete yet. This is a 1996ish Gary Fisher Marlin that I grabbed for cheap from CL.

Returned to the stock fork after riding an ENVE on the Nature Boy Zona for the last year or so.

New addition is an All-City Log Lady. Build deets in the SSMTB thread or Pedalroom.

I'm dying to see one in full racing trim. Carbon tubulars to Phil or Paul hubs, carbon fork, etc. I understand why I haven't seen one yet, but it'd be really cool.
