Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Atlanta: Thursday Night Ride

Meet at Bicycle South, corner of North Decatur and Clairmont around 7:30. We have a cool mellow route through emory to chandler park and ends up at the Thinking Man (for beer of course). This pace is more of a parade than a work out. Although this is a fixed/ss oriented ride all are welcome, especially classics.
Hope to see ya,
Joshua

who else is gonna be there? southfulcrum? infested guy? timarchy? damitgravity is in florida visting her folks so i guess she's out.

(calling everyone by their code names makes me feel like i'm in the r.c.p.)

I live right behind Bike South (although I'm an Intown Bicycles loyalist). Sounds like fun, but I'm slow.

are you guys doing this every thursday night? i'll try to make it out. btw, for those of y'all that are interested in doing a little training type rides for the track, some of us have started doing sprint drills on a really good section of dekalb ave, between inman park marta station and the moreland ave. bridge. they are measured off at 230 meters and a little over 300 meters. we usually do them on monday and wednesday nights, very little traffic. anyway, let me know if anyone is interested.
