Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Now, I know why I'm not working, and that has something to do with a Phil BB without it's matching toolset....and me not wanting to do one-leg reps all day downtown...but why are you posting?

I might be there. I just built up another bike, it should be much faster than my current touring frame monster. Maybe it's time to give it a nice debut.

Has to do with a temp job I took to satisfy Northeastern University's Co-Op education requirements. I'll be back mid-july.

Lucas Brunnell [video dude- digave.com/videos] finished first
Tyler was second on a fixie
And some other guy rob maybe? was third

I lost count of the number of laps I did, I don't think I did 10 though. I think when the cops showed up, the race had already ended. There was a prize ceremony thingy at this amphitheater on the MIT campus.

Lucas donated his $53 winnings to the bike messenger relief fund or something like that.

I finished 11 laps. As did the kid I was chasing down the entire race. We came around the corner and the cop car was sitting there but we just slipped by and did another lap just to be sure we had finished them all... and we were still racing each other. Finally got him in the end. Had chased the guy for 6 laps.
