MKS chain tensioners are the best in my opinion. They are durable and strong (NJS certified) and have a design that is simple and easy to use. I can micro adjust my chain tension perfectly with them and achieve perfect tension. They usually cost 30 dollars, which may seem expensive but I think they are well worth it. The BMX ones definitely are not as easy to use, plus they are for BMX, cheaper though they may be.
